Since 2006, Quinton Bemiller (Ed.D., M.F.A.) has led Gallery Tours in Los Angeles, visiting hundreds of galleries while chronicling developments in local and international contemporary art. Participants include art collectors, artists, students and others interested in contemporary art. They appreciate the organized itineraries, social networking, critical discussions, selection of exhibitions and the gourmet stops throughout the city.
Quinton contextualizes both the art and the galleries, focusing on Los Angeles as an international and local center for contemporary art. He often invites artists to speak about their exhibited work, and engages gallery owners/directors in thoughtful conversations. He draws on his background as an artist, educator, and curator to create a meaningful experience.
In addition to the Los Angeles Gallery Tours, Quinton schedules Art Tours in other cities, including Mexico City, New York, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Boston, Denver, San Diego, Palm Springs, Ojai, Ventura, Long Beach, Riverside, Claremont and more.
