Since 2006, Quinton Bemiller has led private Gallery Tours in Los Angeles, visiting hundreds of galleries while chronicling developments in local and international contemporary art. Participants include art collectors, artists, students and various professionals with a passion for art. They appreciate the detail-oriented itineraries, social networking, critical discussions, selection of exhibitions, and stops at some of the city's best culinary destinations along the way.
As an artist, educator and curator, Quinton contextualizes both the art and the galleries, focusing on Los Angeles as an international and local center for contemporary art. He often invites artists to speak about their work, and engages gallery owners and directors in thoughtful conversations and exhibition walk-throughs. The tours occasionally include visits to artist studios too. In addition to the six annual Los Angeles Gallery Tours, Quinton schedules select Art Tours in other cities, including Madrid, Barcelona, Mexico City, New York, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Boston, Denver, San Diego, Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, Ojai, Ventura, Long Beach, Riverside, Claremont and more.
